The Stationery Office (TSO) wins new publishing contract with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA)

TSO, part of Williams Lea and the leading supplier of publishing solutions to the public sector in the UK, is delighted to announce the renewal of its contract as DVSA’s official publisher. The new contract begins on January 7, 2019 and lasts for up to five years. TSO is looking forward to working with DVSA to develop exciting new products and help spread DVSA’s road safety messages.

For over 30 years, TSO has published DVSA’s official learning materials, including The Official DVSA Theory Test for Car Drivers and The Official Highway Code. This long-standing partnership has created a portfolio of best-selling apps, online subscriptions, books, eBooks, discs and downloads. TSO will continue to work with DVSA to offer innovative publishing that delivers high quality, multimedia products for all road users at every stage of their driving or riding life.

As part of the new contract, TSO will update existing products, including its best-selling The Official DVSA Theory Test Kit app, and publish an updated Highway Code. A user-focused digital development strategy will deliver new resources that relates driving theory to real driving situations. Official DVSA products will be made easily available for users to buy and access anytime, anywhere and in formats which suit their learning style and needs. These exciting innovations will help prepare and support all road users through a lifetime of safe driving or riding.

DVSA and TSO believe that all road users will benefit from the partnerships’ authority and expertise, helping them to stay safe on Britain’s roads for many years to come.

The new contract is part of the Department for Transport’s Cycling & Walking Investment Strategy (CWIS) aimed at making cycling and walking a natural choice for shorter journeys, or as part of longer journeys by 2040.
