Williams Lea appoints Conor Davey as Global CEO

Tim Griffiths announces he is stepping down as CEO to become Executive Chairman, Conor Davey will succeed Tim as Chief Executive Officer of the Williams Lea Group effective 2 November 2011. 
8 November 2011, London

After 25 years of service, Tim Griffiths has stood down from a full time Group Chief Executive Officer role to become the Executive Chairman of Williams Lea. Under Tim’s direction, Williams Lea has achieved considerable success and has become the global market leader in its field. Tim established Williams Lea as a BPO provider in 1988 and transformed the business through capability investment and strategic acquisitions. He has created a 10,500 person, global business which delivers world-class marketing and document solutions to leading brands around the world.

Tim Griffiths said at the time of announcement ¨We are now a truly global business with a market-leading proposition backed by one of the worlds leading brands, DPDHL. I saw this as a perfect juncture in Williams Lea’s progression to transfer leadership to Conor.”

Conor Davey has been named as Chief Executive Officer of the Williams Lea Group effective November 2, 2011. He has played a pivotal role in the growth of the business during the past ten years and his appointment reflects important continuity in the leadership of Williams Lea. Conor joined in 1991 in an account operations role. During his time at the Company he has held a number of positions including Group Business Development Director and most recently, CEO Europe.
