10 October 2011, New York - Williams Lea, a recognized global business process outsourcing provider, announces the appointment of John Hovnanian as the new Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Talent Officer (CTO), effective September 26, 2011.
John brings extensive and award-winning experience in the area of human resources; he most recently held the position of Vice President of Human Resources & Regional Compliance Officer for the Americas Region of Deutsche Post DHL Global Forwarding (DGF). John oversaw all Human Resources and Labor functions in 16 countries within the DGF Americas region. Prior to that, he served as DGF’s Vice President of Human Resources for North America.
John now leads the Williams Lea Americas Human Resources Department, which plays a critical role in this growth focused and market-leading business. Before joining Deutsche Post DHL, John served as an HR executive for several major U.S. corporations, including The Hartford and Pitney Bowes. He holds a Master’s degree in Labor Relations & HR Management from the University of New Haven in Connecticut, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz. Last year, the South Florida Business Journal recognized John as having demonstrated Excellence in Human Resources and this year he was a finalist for the 2011 American Business AwardsSM Human Resources Executive of the Year.
